Perfect Smoothie Combo

We are all so different, as such, we require different amounts of macronutrients. I have been asked so many times about the PERFECT green smoothie combo, so last week on my ‘Weight loss Wednesday’s” periscope channel I showed my audience what I normally pop into my smoothies.

Here are some guidelines to help you create yours:

  • Always add fat, protein and veg
  • Fruit should be minimal just add for flavour
  • Don’t use spinach and kale daily due to high oxalate content
  • Use the juice of lemon or lime to stabilise nutrients
  • Use ice to prevent nutrient degradation
  • Blend your protein powder last to protect the amino acid structures
  • Most importantly make a mix that you love, which sustains you hours after consumption

Here are some recipes to get you started.

Below are three yummy and therapeutic recipes to support your metabolism and kickstart your cleanse.
